LOCATION: Mount Vernon Public Library Basement Meeting Room
This FREE seminar is open to all KCCHSA members, however, you must register to attend this event.
AT LEAST ONE PARENT MUST ATTEND WITH THEIR JUNIOR OR SENIOR HIGH STUDENT(S), but it is strongly recommended that BOTH parents attend with their student(s).
Many of us feel competent to home educate our children during the early years. But as our students progress into more complex subjects, we begin to feel inadequate, thinking we need to "throw in the towel" because we personally weren't good at algebra, physics, or writing, and we're worried we'll mess up their future college or career opportunities.
The truth is, mom and dad, you have what it takes! YOU CAN DO IT! You CAN homeschool High School!
During this two-hour workshop, we will remind you and your student why you are homeschooling in the first place, what "school" can look like over the four years of high school, and best of all, how to do it with confidence.
Whether your child is already in High School or you're planning ahead, this workshop will address and dispel many of the fears you are facing.
The content will be presented in a very hands-on manner so that you and your student(s) can work together to create a plan of action.
